Daily Life

Health Care at Foster Creek is committed to the quality of daily life for your loved one.  Below you will find more information about the activities, meals, and transportation that are available to all residents in our care. Our planned activities and events are always coordinated in a way so that our residents’ abilities and interests will be the focus. We also work to provide them with the mental stimulation to assist in them being engaged in their own care.

Our admission staff takes care during the time of admission to learn more about your loved one’s hobbies and interests so that we can help match activities to their liking. We offer activities that are group based and individual based. Our social service team and activities team provide individualized plans for our residents so that they can continue to feel a part of a community and have their social needs met.

Some of our group activities include:

  • Exercise
  • Balance classes
  • Live music
  • Karaoke
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Walks
  • Gardening
  • Celebrations
  • Library visits
  • Movies
  • Pet Therapy

All meals at Healthcare at Foster Creek are physician driven. We believe that strong bodies and good healthy food provide additional quality of life to our residents. We have meals that meet all physical conditions as well as meals for those who may need added nutrition or specific diets. Our nutritionist and Chef come together to prepare meals for each resident based on their likes and medical needs. All meals are prepared fresh in our kitchen and are served table side in our dining rooms, or available for service in individual resident rooms if requested.

Some of the specialized meals we can cater to include:

  • Diabetic diets
  • Modified diet
  • High calorie diets
  • Renal diets
  • Heart diets
  • Mechanical Soft for those with swallowing issues
  • Pureed meals for those who need extra care
  • Assisted Feeding and staff who will feed our residents with care and dignity if needed

Our residents use multiple types of transportation and we ensure their needs are met to get to and from appointments as needed. Our Clinical team works with Social Services to coordinate the best possible transportation for our residents.

We use:

  • Medical Transportation to and from appointments
  • Tri-met
